Paul Welburn has worked for some of the UK’s best chefs. He learned his trade from a succession of mentors, not least Gary Rhodes, for whom he won and retained a Michelin Star. Paul also earned a Michelin Star in Oxford in 2018, the first in the city for more than three decades, at The Oxford Kitchen.

As a boy Paul would eat with his family at the table, enjoying the sociable aspect of dining. His passion for good food was ignited at an early age and inspired Paul to cooks from the heart. His dishes are both nostalgic and utterly delicious.

As a Yorkshire-born chef , representing the North East region on the BBC’s Great British Menu was another proud moment in 2014, bagging a 10/10 for his ‘Blackout Beef’ main .

His debut book Evolve, brings together Paul’s rich experiences, his love of travel, and his passion for the best of seasonal British produce.
